Acid Mantle HC and Eczema
I have years of experience dealing with a child with eczema. I consider myself somewhat of an eczema expert, after years of dealing with my son’s symptoms, I discovered a compound ten years ago, given to me by a pediatric allergist, that has been a powerful tool in our compounding tool chest for dealing with symptoms of eczema. It’s called acid mantle with hydrocortisone. The concentration of hydrocortisone in this compound is really no different than what you would buy over the counter, but for some reason it works much better. The way that it works has a lot to do with the base that it’s in, a cream known as acid mantle. I don’t know how this doctor came up with this combination of ingredients; it just works really well.
Recently I’ve had three calls for acid mantle with hydrocortisone. Two were recommended to us, and one came to us very frustrated after a tremendous search for a pharmacy that would compound it for her.
If you or a family member has eczema, and would like more information on this compound, please give me a call or send me an email. I can then explain to you what’s in acid mantle with hydrocortisone, how we make it and how to approach a doctor about prescribing it.
